Contemporary Doorways

Doorways are far more than just functional divisions of space or security barriers. Throughout the ages, architects have explored the symbolic and aesthetic values of thresholds, doors, and entrances. In recent years numerous architects of note, from Philippe Starck to Norman Foster, have experimented with the door to create innovative interpretations of how we move from one space to another, or from exterior to interior.
